Never Waste Talent

There are many simple people skills and talents that are sorely needed in our society today.  In an environment where connections consist mostly of technological interactions, one on one skills are so important.  The simple act of listening is profoundly meaningful.  People who benefit from a good listener do not seek out answers to weighty life questions, they simply need a kind person who will offer a few minutes of focused listening. It is fact that there is more loneliness in our world than ever before as reported by academic researchers.  We may be artificially connected; however, individuals still feel apart from others.  We can use our talents to impact change.

Listening requires little effort and is a talent that we all can call upon to serve others.  We do not need to have solutions.  We do not need to have answers.  We can merely be with others especially when they are in need.  It’s definitely a talent that need not be wasted.
